Laura began studying yoga intensively with Michele Baker, founder of Swan River Yoga, in January 2006.  She went on to receive her certification from the Sivananda Ashram in the mountains of Val Morin, Canada, a challenging 200 hour Teacher Training course with extensive discipline of asana, pranayama, jnana, raja and bhakti yoga. Laura has since completed numerous workshops and immersions with the likes of Jordan Bloom and Kelly Haas, and has studied a variety of schools of yoga, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, and Jivamukti.  She frequently works with students who are new to yoga, or those who have limitations due to injury. Laura currently teaches private and semi-private lessons, as well as group classes at New Orleans Athletic Club.
